Some Fractal Dimension Estimate Algorithms and Their Applications to One-dimensional Biomedical Signals

Fractals can model many classes of time-seri" data. Jr. this paper, the d rential box-counting (DBC) approach, originally for 2-13 applications, is modified and applied to f -D case. In addition, two algorithms, called 11J shifting-DBC (SDBC41 D). and J -D scanning-BC ( ' SBC-1 D), are also proposed for 1-D signal ThS fractal dunentonsf ar 1-0 biomedical lse and ECG signals are calculated.
